I have been using the X1D for a couple of weeks now and I notice that my photos always seem to blur. Now I can correct this by opening up the lens and dialing up the iso. But if I want to stop down the lens to get a full depth of field (f/20), I need a tripod even in fairly well lit situations. Am I missing something or are these lenses just slow? I'm always concerned about dialing up the iso because of the graining. Anyone else have this issue and suggestions? Thanks for your input.
There is no image stabilization at all, and with the deep shutter button release, I find it easy to induce camera shake.
I would test with the skills that you have to figure out the minimum shutter speed you can handhold your camera with, and then dial up your ISO if you have too.....
On the 90 plan on 3x FL for shutter speed ... 45 probably 1.5x ... and the 30 1.2x.
A monopod will afford a bit more stability ....
But welcome to MF ... no free lunch when it comes to image quality. The only blessing is that 800 ISO is great and 1600 usable.
And a good tripod and head is worth carrying all the time.
