Title: Hasselblad/Phocus 3.0.2/HShell.dll failed to register
Post by: vklassen1 on July 05, 2016, 06:44:19 PM
Hey There
I'm working on a PC running Windows 7 64bit i7processor and that cant load Phocus 3.0.2 software. I receive an error message "module C:\Program Files\Hasselblad\Phocus 3.0.2\HShell.dll failed to register HRESULT - 2147024770. Contact your support personnel." Has anyone had a similar issue? insights?..
Thank you in-advance
Vince

Hi Vince,

Seems like it could be more to do with hardware related issues:

OK so you've run an analysis test to make sure that everything is stable? yes?
Did you install the new OS with the computer connected to the internet?
Most of the time I have encountered issues just after a fresh install rather than later on in time when the problems are more software update related  (which just require doing an uninstall).
Not encountering such a problem myself I can't advise other than putting on ones detective hat:
Firstly, I'd install Malwarebytes and after installing it and the software featured in that link, I'd run the two programmes, with the computer offline.
The analysis software will tell you where there's any issues - whereby you can patch them yourself (or pay them to do it), afterwhich you can uninstall it using Revo uninstaller.
