Title: Turn "Timer" Off
Post by: Michael Erlewine on February 17, 2024, 08:36:27 AM
How do I turn the timer off that starts when we press the Shutter button.

I can't seem to get it to stop.  H2D

Are you perhaps referring to the self timer, in Drive Modes?

I'm not sure of the terms.

I want to take a focus stack on a rail, NOT the automatic stack in the X2D. I amadvancing the step on the rail, and pressing the shutter. For each press of the shutter it times it going down...2, 1, etc.

THat is a hassle. How do I avoid this?

That does sound like you have the self timer on. Look at the image I posted earlier. Do you see the timer icon.... Like the one in orange at the bottom of the left picture? If you do, tap it to open the next screen , then tap on single.

I don't know in details the X2D but with my X1D I have a prerelease time setting in the focus stack menu.

This time is for waiting that the body has no more vibration from them frame before, from the focus change.

You will have to set this value to "0" in the menu.
