Title: Phocus not seeing Image Bank
Post by: m burden on July 03, 2017, 09:45:08 PM
I recently had to update my OS X to 10.11, consequently the version of Phocus that I was using 2.6 no longer works - it keeps crashing. All the later versions either crash 2.6-2.7 or no longer see the Image bank that I using. Granted the set up I am using is prehistoric, Image Bank 1 with an H1D but I do like it and I would and need to continue using it, so if anyone has any ideas how to get this resolved or if there is a work around I would be grateful

Probably the only solution is to make a bootable disk with the earlier OS and use that solely for the purpose of working with Phocus 2.6.  It's not actually that much of a pain.  I have partitioned my main hard drive to run 10.11 on one partition and 10.6 on the other (which I still need to run my scanner).  Sure you have to re-boot but if you do so for the purpose of a lengthy session it is not too much of a problem.

Thanks for the reply, that was the solution offered by 'Blad, can't say I'm pleased but hey.
I did work out a workaround which involves importing the images off the Image Bank with FlexColour and then using the latest version of Phocus. It's not ideal but at least I know I'm not obsolete yet.

M Burden,

The last version of Phocus that work's with Ixpress digital backs is 2.7.6. Phocus 2.7.6 last compatible OS is 10.9; therefore, you need to return the Mac to OS. 10.9 or dedicate an older Mac to that operating system which allows both the hardware and software to be in compliance.

The work around using FlexColour t download images and then using the latest version of Phocus seems to be working so I'll be sticking to that for now. I even get to use the lastest version of Phocus which is nice.
