Title: 90V lens oil on shutter blades
Post by: vitdev on February 22, 2024, 12:21:41 PM
I've seen a few people here complained about 90V shutter sound. It's definitely louder than 55V, but I can't say it's louder than XCD 2.8/135, although it's much closer to the front glass and, thus, very visible.
I've noticed (I guess oil) stains on it as well as that blades are not in the same plane compared to 55V or 135 shutters. Have anybody else noticed the same?

Hasselblad responded that it's expected to happen as they use small amount of oil on the mechanism to extend its lifespan. Not sure if it should spread to shutter blades though.

Does anyone who got 90V here have oil on shutter blades?

Same here but no incidence on the functioning of the shutter.

I asked Hasselblad about it but got an evasive answer.

Kind regards,

Same here! I asked B&H and Hasselblad. HB gave evasive answer, but they responded after B&H told me to return it, which I did.
I just received a replacement (three months later) and it has a similar issue, although less oil, and blades seem to be flatter (the first lens had space between shutter blades).

I also got 28P recently and shutter is pristine clean there too.

Could you upload a photo of your shutter blades?
