Hi there I would to know if anyone in this forum has been able to tether h4d-50 to a dell xps15 9560 via the thunderbolt 3 port, using apple thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt dongle and thunderbolt to FireWire dongle.

If there is a better solution I available that would be even better

Check out the OWC thunderbolt 3 dock. It's not out yet (taking pre-orders now) but it will have a fw800 port so you would eliminate a lot of the dongles. :)

I would assume a Dell xps runs Windows and the OWC specs say: "FireWire 800 port not supported on Windows at this time." (https://www.owcdigital.com/products/thunderbolt-3-dock#tech-specs).
