Quote from: Ralf on May 17, 2024, 07:32:44 PMThe only alternatives with a leaf shutter are PhaseOne, Leica Q (1, 2, 3) and the Fuji X100 (something).

The Leica S system has some lenses with central shutter (named "CS"), too.

OK, that's right. But unfortunately the Leica S system has been discontinued.

I really liked the concept of the S3.

No it hasn't. There's confirmation from Leica that a S4 will come. We just don't know if it'll be a mirrorless camera that takes the same lenses or needs an adaptor for the current glass. It's likely a couple of years away though.

I never check cameras or lenses. I do occasionally have a couple in a jacket pocket to keep the carry on weight in check. Until I'm safely on the plane at least.

Here's a link to the Hasselblad YouTube channel which should be useful.

@tenmangu81 fully agree with your comments. I don't use any of the so called creative features of Neo, staying with just sharpness, noiseless, clarity etc., and like the workflow.

If you're saying despite exporting tiff from Phocus, once the tiff file being edited by another editor, the color is lost, then there's no reason to go through Phocus process, and just run through Lightroom from import to finish end to end.

Just to whine a bit, this is the worst part of HB experience. If Phocus was on par as other editors then no issue, but when it's not comparable and yet being forced to use it in order to retain the HB color is frustrating.

Thanks DaDue,

If I'm not mistaken that's the filter thread/cap size - not the hood.

Do you know the diameter of the hoods?

Cheers.

For both lenses it's 72mm.

I have the PM 1 downloaded to an ipad. Images linked and can be viewed.
However, that's where I am stuck.... What next? No help pages.
I assumed at this point I would have tools to edit the images?

Help anyone?

Good evening all,

Can anyone advise what the diameter of the lens hoods are for these 2 lenses?

Many thanks.

Kind regards,

Also in Europe you will be required to show your camera as well as phone, computer, laptop etc through the scan check. Make sure they're easy to get out.

NEVER check cameras through luggage (personal cameras) as the airline won't take responsibility both nationally and internationally. I've been purchasing an additional seat and carry at 35L bag that has held the X2D with 4 lenses, "stuff", and a tripod on several trips. It actually fits in the overhead on larger planes with no issues. I have, in the past, used Pelican cases and saw the baggage handlers just whip them on to the loading belt.
