Title: Please, help me. Problem with body
Post by: AlexanderSakulin on March 20, 2015, 05:58:03 AM
Hi, my name is Alexander Sakulin.

I'm a happy owner of Hasselblad h3d2 with 39 mp digital back. Have a question about technical details. Today I got a light electricity shock when trying to take a shot. After that my camera started to work bad: monitor on the body shows strange lines when I'm trying to turn it on. And the button of capture doesn't work. But digital back works correctly. And I can change some parameters by wheels on the body. I see it in Phocus. So, some functions of the body works good. And I can take a shot with special button in Phocus when digital back is plugged in to my Mac.

I want to think that the problem can be solved without work of specialists.
Maybe You can give me some universal advices how I can try to bring my camera to normal life?
Or maybe You can give me instruction what a should to do?

So I'll be happy to get any useful information about this case.

Regards,
Alexander Sakulin

Hi Alexander
Were you working tethered when you got the shock? It could have just been static build up especially if you have a long firewire cable dragging on the ground. I would also make sure that the wiring in your studio is safe.

Take the battery off the camera and wait a minute then start it up again (un-tethered first) and see i the problems are still there.

Thanks.
Capture button works now. That is good.
But display on the body still looks very bad at the start and doesn't work after it.
