Title: Sports action photos with the H6D-100c
Post by: jhartman on August 18, 2017, 01:43:14 AM
I recently had an assignment to photograph professional hockey player Joe Pavelski (of the San Jose Sharks) using the H6D-100c. Though it may not be everyone's first choice for a sports action camera, the requested size of the finished images dictated its use for this photo shoot.

I do a fair amount of this type of work, and find the shutter response to be as quick as my 35mm DSLR, but of course, these shots are about timing more than burst captures, anyway.

The 28mm, 50mmII and 210mm lenses were used, all at ISO 100 with f/22 and 1/800 sec. Three Paul Buff Einstein flashes were used at full power. The arena lights were turned off to provide a darker background.
