I now have had the exact same problem with my XCD 35-75mm lens. Tack sharp when used with electronic shutter. Jittery/unsharp images when using leaf shutter. It'll go to Hasselblad for service next week. I'd be interested in any repair experience you've had with the lens. Thanks.

Hi Joe, how did it go? Is it solved?

Quote from: Eric Borgström on September 10, 2023, 07:42:27 PMInteresting finding. So not due to image stabilisation on. Rather defect leaf shutter on your XCD Zoom.

I tried on tripod image stabilisation off, and hand-held image stabilisation on. Same result (image sharp when shooting with the electronic shutter).

The brick-wall coffee mural was hand-held.

Here the same conclusion... Only sharp with electronic shutter ON with the X2D-100c. Don't recall having this with X1D II  ::)

Same issue here. Just used the zoom for shooting some casual landscapes while hiking (no tripod) and 90% of the images are blurry (if only slightly). This did not happen with the X1D II.

Hi Joe, how did it go? Is it solved?

I sent the lens to Hasselblad for examination and repair. They concluded that the lens was within specs and sent it back to me. I subsequently sold the lens.

I've tested the zoom today with the X1DII, and dispite what I wrote in my previous post, the images are also blurry. It's less obvious (due to the lower resolution) but clearly visible when zoomed in. When using the electronic shutter images are sharp and micro contrast is more defined.
It has to be the leaf shutter.
I'll get the zoom to my local dealer later this week and have her deal with Hasselblad customer support. I hope I have more luck than Joe. So far my experience with HB Europe (Sweden directly) has been quite good. That is without taking the three month it took them to repair the lens hood of my 135mm, into account.
How hard can it be to send a couple of missing screws?
