Bellows + XCD 55V = Macro for closeups and slide copying??

OK, there it is in the topic title.  I have a large cardboard box of slides going back to 1954 and would like to digitize them.  The choice is scanner or camera and bellows.  But do I have to buy a special lens?  With bellows would the XCD 55V focus close enough to copy slides? 

And if it could do that it could photo bugs, navel lint, plant minutiae, nose hair, fleas, splinters and who knows what all else.  I tremble at the prospect.  LOL

So, can I go with the bellows + XCD 55V?
