I purchased a used Hasselblad lens last year from Adorama, 80mm f2.8 without the orange dot
Was not expecting anything special, however, when I attached it to the camera, it turned out  to have an upgraded shutter and new firmware, for $500!
And only 2k shutter count..

So its worth inquiring about non orange dots for potential upgrades

My impression is that if professionals bought these H lenses, then they keep them for their business and for a living.
I man how much better of image quality do we all really need or want? ;-) The rendering is really nice, also on new mirrorless X series.

I do see some older non orange-dot lenses on mpb.com for cheap but usually also with some damage. I guess it makes sense to see and wait in case you really like to have one of those.
As the H series was discontinued now, I would assume that professionals either hold on to them until they die, or switch to another system and sell them online.

I sold it.  I am NOT leaving the H Sysytem.   It will be around for many more years
