Hi,

I'd be interested in hearing people experiences & thoughts about use & potential issues with one of these smaller Macbooks for both operating the camera on tethered location shoots (because of portabilty and stupendous battery life) and post production afterwards back at the studio with it hooked up to the Eizo.
I wouldn't be processing out hundereds of images, more 30 or so in a session, however the PSB photoshop image work files aveeage 5-6GB. I'm not sure how the unified memory works - whether 16Gb would be enough over 24GB. I was thinking of using a 1TB drive so as to have a 400/600GB OS/Data partition, whilst using a 10GbE NAS adapted to one of the TB ports via a dock/hub for use of a Scratch disk.
Are the lack of ports on the Pro & Air (2x) the weak point and bottleneck with these models (i.e docks/hubs limiting the data throughput of peripherals like NAS & eGPUs) and if so do they cause a noticeable realworld sacrifice in productivity when all things considered.

Cheers,

Alex
