Turn off touch to focus on Phocus Mobile

Is there a way to disable touch to AF on the Phocus Mobile app? I am running my camera in manual focus but whenever I touch the screen on the Phocus remote, the camera tries to autofocus. This is very annoying, especially if I am manually focusing for, say, a macro shot.

I'm having the same issue it would like to disable this feature. It is annoying when you have focus set already from the camera and then accidentally touch the screen on the app and the focus changes.  Seems like an obvious thing to be able to disable this.  Does anyone know?  Thanks!
