Nice one. Some people say this is like an Otus quality lens.

Thanks. It's a monster of a lens, I don't enjoy shooting it on the 907X, it's too big.

So this is my first image with the 907x. I thought I would shoot the boxes I freed it from. There will be more to come.

Nobody in their right mind would choose the 907x in electronic shutter mode and a manual focus Leica lens for wildlife photography.  On the other hand, if you're patient you can pull off an acceptable shot now and again.

And you did very well here.
Godfrey tested his wide angle Voigtlander ( I remember seeing images on another forum) and they were excellent.
I think it will be appropriate to start another thread ie " 907X with Adapted Lenses"  :)

Thank you Bashir,
That would be a fun series.
There is a Flickr group called "Hasselblad with an M" for posting images taken with Leica M lenses adapted to the 907.

Indeed. I've heard a lot of stuff about what "no one can do" but I just go ahead and try it anyway. I usually manage to get something out of it. :)

I tested my Voigtländer 10mm as well as a few Leica M and R system wides (Super-Elmer-R 15, Elmarit-R 19, Elmarit-R 28, Color Skopar 28) ... The 10mm is the most successful of these adapted lenses: even though it has lots of hard vignetting that you have to crop out, there's still enough more coverage to make the XCD 21 seem like a modest tele and it's sharp right to the (cropped) corners. The R15 and R19, due to vignetting and falloff, pose no real advantage over the XCD 21, either 28 had enough corner softness and fall off that I'd only use them in a square crop. The most successful adaptations I've tried so far are with the Macro-Elmarit-R 60, Macro-Elmar-R 100, Summicron-R 90, and Elmer-R 180 (with and without 2x tele converter): minimal vignetting and fall off, all good on the square crop and at least acceptable on the full frame. I haven't tried the Elmarit-R 135, Summarit-M 75, M-Rokkor 90. The Summicron-M 50, Summilux-R 50 and Summicron-R 50 all work reasonably well, but why since the XCD 45P works so much better in most circumstances?

All my Hasselblad V system lenses (50, 80, 120 Macro, 150) work beautifully, of course.

Most of my photos with the 907x thus far have been made with the 45P, and a lesser number with the 21. I really don't need much beyond another native lens in the 80 to 120 mm range to feel like I have everything I want for it (the Planar 80 when adapted presents a wonderful FoV). :)
