X1D 50c does not record GPS data in picture metadata

I have got a problem with my X1D 50c body when the XCD 21mm is attached - it does not record GPS coordinates in the photo metadata (EXIF) when GPS module is attached and active (steady icon). Firmware 1.24 and 0.5.40.

Otherwise, with other lenses (XCD 45mm or XCD 90mm) the GPS data is properly recorded in the photo metadata. The photos are taken at the same spot with either of the lenses and with GPS icon "steady".

Submitted issue to Hasselblad, Sweden, but the support person (Cheny) responded: no any problem with the firmware identified by any user up to now.

Does anyone have the same problem?

I had once a problem where only XCD 21 did not want to AF while all other lenses worked fine. It turned out that my battery was not full but empty (though the LCD reported it being >50%). The low battery caused the system to misbehave.
You could make sure that you have a full battery and try again. Let us know.
