Thank you Luca, for the detailed recommendations!  I shoot a film Leica M-P sometimes and almost got a Rolleiflex, but 12 shots is really not enough for my style.  If I get an HB it would be with the digital back right away, probably.  I could shoot several rolls but Id need to test it with the digital back right away, preferably before purchase...   Which would be nontrivial as I'd probably have to procure the body first, as only the new products are returnable.

IMO 907X is more comfortable on a tripod than the X1D
But the X1D is way more easier to use in all other cases

Zeiss CF lenses have a different rendering than XCD's that are more clinical when I use them on my X1D, so mounting  the CFV II back on a V body gives you a real shutter, not an electronic shutter with his caveats.
