Very good experience sharing. I bought the X1D for the landscape, I learn a lot by reading you. Thank you ! (excuse my bad English, google translate from French)

Nicely written Vieri. A thoroughly enjoyable read and I especially enjoyed your comparison with other systems you have used. And your photographs are wonderful.

Best wishes,

Alistair

Fabulous review, Vieri. Enjoyable to read and look at of course. I'm still learning my dance with the X1D. i also made the move from the Leica SL in December '18. I've owned both the 15mm Voigtlander and the Tri-Elmar.. I sold the Voigtlander to a friend and hung onto the Tri-Elmar. I'm curious what makes the  Voigtlander more attractive to you. Hoping to see you at a workshop this year. Cheers—lt

Thank you very much indeed, I am glad you enjoyed it :) About the Voigt vs Tri-Elmar, they are both great lenses in their own right; if you have the time, I have written a compared review of the two, here: https://www.vieribottazzini.com/2016/07/leica-16-18-21mm-tri-elmar-vs-voigtlander-15mm-super-wide-heliar-iii-review-leica-sl.html, in short the Voigt is easier to filter once you "operate" on it (see here: https://www.vieribottazzini.com/2016/08/surgery-voigtlander-super-wide-heliar-15mm-iii.html, it's smaller and lighter and - when I decided to keep that over the WATE - was a better match overall for my Leica SL. Good thing is, it also works wonders with the X1D, but I definitely didn't do that when I decided to keep the one and sell the other... :) Hope this helps!

Thank you for your interest in working together, will PM you about that to keep it off-forum.

Best regards
