Man, I would love to have this back.  But there is no way I can rationalize it, no matter what the price.  What is the price - anyone know? Oh, to have a high-res back on my 203...

NickT

And guess what Hasselblad have enabled DAC corrections for the zeiss lenses....

All those people who claimed that HC lenses were rubbish and being fixed in software might have to shut up :)

And how might one get them enabled? The CA on some of my Zeiss lenses is, uh, well, noticeable.  Is there an update to download?

NickT

I guess we'll have to wait for a new version of Phocus (one that supports the CFV 39)would be my guess.

The price is 9,995 EUR

That's not too bad, actually.  Great to see it's as, uh, inexpensive as that.

So, new CFV39 goes on 64sec. what's up with H3DII shutter speed bump?!  ???

NickT

I think Hasselblad have used the announcement of the CFV39 to also announce the shutter speed bump. I imagine that when the version of phocus that supports the CFV39 is realeased we will see the speed bump for the H3D line at the same time.

Hi Nick,

Yes you are pretty much right there.  It didn't make sense to announce the CFV without it.  However I believe there will be more increases too.

Hi Nick,

Unfortunately none of my C or CF lenses are covered in the list. (50, 60, 80, 150, 180, and 250)
Does it mean that I can't use these, or that just the DAC corrections are not enabled?

hi seyhun,

if your lenses are not in the list, then they won't be helped by the software DAC corrections in Phocus, but they will still work!

s.agar

Thanks,

That's good enough.
I'using the same lenses with the H3DII w/o SAC, and especially the 180mm and 60mm are still giving excellent photos.

Hi Seyhun

I am not certain from your post which of your lenses are C and which are CF. I know 180mm was CF/CFI/CFE.
The CF 80, 150, 180 and 250mm are identical optically as the more recent version CFi/CFE series. You do have the
option to use DAC for these lenses by simply checking or unchecking the appropriate box next to the correction you desire.

Hasselblad does plan to expand the list of lenses in the future.  ;)
