XCD shutter noise

I have the 90, 45 and 30 XCD lenses. The 30 shutter is by far quieter than the 90 or 45. Is this normal?

Not mine.

But my 21 XCD, that I recently purchased, is by far quieter than the 30/45/90. That raises the question, whether H does implement this kind of dampened noise also with recent production runs of the "older" 30/45/90mm lenses.

What is your serial number? Mine is 2WVT..., that means 2016.

My lenses have these serial numbers
30 2WVU
45 2UVU
90 2VVT

Ok. *VU* means 2017 production year, maybe this is the reason.

My 45 and 30 are both VU or 2017. The 45 is way louder than the 30. Maybe year of manufacture is not the answer. Thanks
