CF Adapter error message on H3Dii

I was shooting with my H3Dii with an attached CF adapter for V lenses with no problems. Then for some unknown reason when the V lens was attached, an error message came up. "Re-attach lens", with an error notification. Another error message that appeared is that the attached lens will not operate in autofocus mode. I never shoot in autofocus mode, and the mode was set to "manual". Any ideas how to fix this issue?

Apologies for the slow response on this.The issue will be due to the lens/body contacts not connecting, give them a good clean and make sure the adaptor is fully locked on.
