Time to update my workstation.  I see in the manual that Phocus benefits from Metal compatible GPUs. Great.  I'll get that.  I've also read that Photoshop CC generally doesn't benefit from multiple processors, and currently taps into only 8 cores.  That suggests basically a single overclocked, liquid cooled 8 core processor operating at highest GHz.

Has anyone here any thoughts on what Phocus can tap into in terms of processors and cores?

I use curves a lot in Phocus and it can take a long time to process and zoom into detail on my current old system and hope to minimize that in particular.  I'm not asking here about RAM (currently I have 32 and am going up to 64), SS drives (yes), RAID or the like.  Only what speeds the processing.   Hopefully there is a Phocus engineer hanging around here!

Thanks

Don't forget the graphics card, Phocus loves a good GPU!

Hassilistic.  Your sage advice is too late, I've been fully distracted!

Nick, thanks for that.  I'm going with an NVidea Quadro P4000.  I've delved a bit into Photoshop specs and even that may not be enough memory (8GB) for PS.

I've decided to build my own.  For those interested in these types of distractions, a good thread is here.
