iBook G4 good enough for running Flexcolor purely for image backup on the road?

Hi all,

I am currently asking myself which compact notebook to get in order to be able to do backups of the image bank attached to my Imacon 132c back while I am traveling. Sure, I could get a MacBook or MacBook Pro, but as I anyway don't want to work on the images but only want to do backups, I am thinking of getting a used iBook G4 for next to nothing. As they have a built-in Firewire port, I would prefer using an iBook over one of the current netbooks.

What do you guys think? Any experience with using an iBook in this way? Any other inputs? Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Best regards, Thorsten

Many years ago I used to shoot to an old white ibook with flexcolour and a 384 (16MP) and it worked fine.
