XCD 120mm Macro

B&H says "Expected availability: End of Sep 2017" and my dealer hasn't received any dates as of now. So I guess we will have to wait and see.

Calumet Photographic in Germany lists expected availability and price as follows:

Calumet UK doesn't list any availability yet. But the price in Germany of 4.641,00 € sounds rather a lot. At the current dreadful £/€ exchange rate of 1.1017 that would equate to £4,212. But the list price in the UK is £3,954. Someone could save 200 quid by shopping in the UK.

Yes, including all your headaches when returning the lens for repair to the UK after the BREXIT. No thanks.......

Thanks Ted.  Excellent advice for those who can wait, but this likely will be my most used lens the day it arrives.  I've waitlisted for about 3 or so months and don't want to give up my place in line. 

Your thoughts remind me to install any lens firmware updates when I get it, and run it through corner to corner and other resolution chart tests before using it in a meaningful way.  B&H's warranty is among the best I've ever experienced from any company, so I don't have much concern they won't honor that if needed.

Thank your input and that of others on this forum is much appreciated. Please note that today we issued the latest firmware for the X1D-50c, version 1.17.3. The main purpose for the release is to enable the camera system to work with the XCD 120mm macro lens. Also, long standing has been a firmware for the stability of XCD lenses in general, version 0.5.3, please see each at the enclosed link:
