Putting an h5 back on an h2d body... does it work?

I've had my H2d 22mp for a long time now. but recently my IR filter got all messed up.
I'd really like to upgrade to something with a CMOS sensor. Am I able to put an H5D back on it? or does that not work?

The H5 backs needs more power than the H2 can offer.
