I tried to remap one of the buttons on the X2D to change focus to infinity. When I tried to use this function with the XCD 45mm f3.5 lens it told me the lens doesn't support this feature. So curious which lens(es) support it?

It doesn't work on my 3.5/45 either, despite firmware v0.6.0

Hmm...My XCD 90 only does "drive to near limit". My XCD 45P does both near and infinity limit. Sigh...

The "Focus on infinity" function works with the 4/21, 2.5/38 & 1.9/80 lenses.

I could only imagine using this function for astrophotography (which I don't actually do yet), and for that the 3.5/45 would be my last choice anyway.

The Hasselblad service will probably be able to explain why focus on infinity doesn't work with the 3.5/45.

Did you test them all or how do you know?

Yes, I tested the lenses mentioned on my X2D.

I wonder what is this feature for anyways? I can't imagine it's actually mainly for astro-photography... and why those specific lenses? I had suspected it may only be supported on the new V-series lenses...

I tested on 21, 38V, 90V & 135, all work, HC300 not.

3.5 45 works to infinity as all other original XCD lenses on my vintage X1D.
but depending on the start point and increment size it often there is no frame at infinity, with one just before and one just after with the body stops and says infinity reached.

For this reason I never use this mode for my landscapes and only use the start by infinity with AF focusing at infinity before.

Seems as with the X2D Hasselblad introduced a safety  to not use this function in uncertain infinity sharpness cases ?
