Hi all, another question. I am working with my h5d on a daily basis and getting more and more trouble with the autofocus. With a little low contrast scene, of with some backlight, the autofocus start to pending up and down. I wonder if this is a common problem, of that I am just paying attention more. Anyone the same problem? And is there a solution? Back to Hasselblad? Regrads, Eljee

As long as the AF has something to lock on to it should be fine.

Like most I have my Hasselblads set to MF and the user button set to AF drive. That way it's easy to find something with contrast to lock onto then re-compose and shoot.

I had the exact same problem on my H4D. In many cases the autofocus was looking for and looking for the approach and without much contrast, in some (quite a few) cases it did not find it. The matter has been resolved with a Hasselblad factory check and adjustment.

In full agreement with Nick T's suggestion to work in Manual focus mode with a little caveat -- used the True-Focus button on the back of the grip, it has a dual function, AF on single press and TF on push and hold.
