h3dII 39 back on HD4 50 body

I have a H3dII with a 39 back that is well used.  It appears I can get a very good deal on a h4d 50 body without the back.  Can I use the 39 back on the hd4 50 body?

I've been doing it vice versa (H4 Back on H3DII Body), for the last couple of weeks due to a problem with the contact pins on the H4 body and haven't had any issues: I just swapped them around and shot tethered without encountering anything.
(Glad I kept the old camera on as a backup)
I'll try out the H3DII back on the H4 body and let you know.
