If you H battery is dead, instead of exchanging the whole grip, you can exchange the cells within. It is much cheaper, but you will need some basic soldering skills. It is also the only way to get the "old" battery and not to have to buy the new charger.

This is the part you will need: http://www.tme.eu/en/details/cga103450_2s1p/rechargeable-batteries/#.

This is the basic procedure (with photos): http://www.getdpi.com/forum/medium-format-systems-and-digital-backs/49212-regenerating-your-dead-hasselblad-h-battery-grips.html. If you use the original cell parts above, it is simpler to cut the wires and solder the wires of the grip together with the one on the battery. Use heat shrink tube for insulation.

After you have exchanged the cells, please do a battery reset.

This would be great but the company will not ship the batteries to the US. Anyone know of a US supplier?
