remember the days when we said, "why do i need 39MP, this 22MP has all the quality I'll ever need" ?

recently we had the launch of the (admittedly rather excellent looking) Nikon D800 with it's 36.3MP full frame 35mm chip. http://www.europe-nikon.com/en_GB/product/digital-cameras/slr/professional/d800

now today I read Nokia are not to be outdone, and are announcing a 41MP Camera Phone. yes, really. http://europe.nokia.com/pureview

I'm perversely tempted to get one.
