Black photos after export?

I'm running into a bug: when I export an FFF file as a TIFF (no matter what options) and if I select a network volume as a destination, I get black files.
the resulting photos are full size black TIFFs.
If I export to the desktop or another local volume, everything is fine.
I also tried from other Macs in the studio, and everything looks OK there (the TIFFs over the network are just right).
any clues?

I just exported a file over the network (for the first time ever!) and it processed out just fine...

OK, I made some other tests, and it looks like the bug is unpredictable: I also tested the export with a destination like Desktop (so no network volume) and also on a recent 2010 27" iMac, and sometimes I get black exports.

I think we will need much more info to help you. Not least of which is what software are you using and very importatntly what version.

Phocus 2.5.2 running on a MacPro 2008, and on some iMac 27 2010.
other info needed?
