There is something intriguing about how the shape of the camera reveals itself in Tundra Brown. But, alas, I already have an X2D and a 907x 100c (both with over 15,000 frames shot), so I rendered the Earth Explorer instead.  See it here:

They are the dealers not the importers.
Importers are the wholesale side brings products into Nz and sends to the retailers ie Progear. Who were the only retail store to sell Hasselblad products in Nz to customers.
So when products come to Nz generally it'll come though a wholesalers who will sell to retailers to sell the products to us the consumer.
Normally only companies can buy from wholesalers, consumers can not in Nz.
When companies sell wholesale to public it will always be though there retail division.
Hope that makes sense.
Wholesalers and companies will have there set prices for retailers to sell at.
I hope that helps a bit

I'm afraid it doesn't. CRK are not the importer or distributor as of last year, either in NZ or Australia. They were, but Progear have told me that they now deal direct with Hasselblad Sweden.

that used the be the case until recently, CRK is back, with increased price, more retailers like Photo Warehouse can now sell Hasselblad.

What's f-ed up is CRK also sells through their website...in a way they are competing with retailers...
Have a browse on their website, their stock level indicator seems very details, tells you which lens coming on what date..

As a kit it should cost less, not more.

Plus black is always and by far the best color for a camera :-)

CanNik

I am 100% happy so many people change their cameras like they change underwear, it means I get 100% perfect used gear at a fraction of the new price  8)  8)  8)  8)

When the EE2 comes out get that sell the EE1 and Ill buy it 1/4 the cost

I'm still trying to find out what's going on. I bought my Tundra kit directly from D1 Store. I hadn't looked at the CRK website for a few months. It's listed as coming there and they have some limited stock of a few things. Plus most of the dates for the next batch of out of stock items.

I don't know if they have regained the distributorship, are dealers or are sharing distributorship with D1. It's a mess to be honest.

I have emailed D1 but not heard back. I did also ask about the 75mm so maybe they won't reply until it's released. Generally they do get back to me pretty quickly though, since I shoot both Hasselblad and fly the Inspire drone.

CRK are charging AUD600 more for the Earth Explorer than I paid, so I kind of hope that D! are still around.

Well they still don't list Hasselblad as one of their brands and Progear told me less than 2 months ago that they were importing Hasselblad directly from Sweden. Photo & Video also confirmed that to me even more recently.

I'll call CRK next week and ask them.

I don't understand why the case is not sold without the lens at the same price as the black one.

Because it's a limited edition run designed to add some extra funds into Hasselblad. Possible down the line they'll release a *normal* brown one, just to piss off the people who paid extra for this one.

They kind of did the same thing with the X1D 4116 edition and other manufacturers do this. Mainly Leica. HB are basically doing a full copy of Leica so this was inevitable.
