I have one, and I can't image ever using my H-system or large format without it.

For X1D, I recommend:Linhof 3D Leveling Head II with Dovetail Track, great load capacity.

Thank you and I really don't disagree.  If I did not already own the Arca Cube this is what I would go for.  The Linhof is no lighter or smaller than the Cube so there is no point in changing.

With regard to the Arca Hybrid.  The problem is entirely due to the flip lock which is a bad thing.  I changed it on my Cube for the very reason that it is unsafe but this is not an option on the Hybrid.  I should perhaps have ordered the version with a clamp but I am where I am and will not be revisiting this issue.

I am looking very seriously at the new AS L60 Mini Cube for my Long exposure work. It seems a few have shipped and will be interesting to see feedback from early adopters.
