Hello friends,

I have these two adapters, Firewire to Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt to Usb-C, but Phocus doesn´t recognise the camera. I suppose that´s because there are several technologies. Do you know if it´s possible to connect my H5D to my new laptop?

Thanks!

This should work, I use it daily. Use of original Apple adapters...

Thanks Domip! one of them is original, I must try with the other original too.

Best Regards,

OWC's solution is good for in the studio... not practical in the field ! >:(

Presumably, the right-hand adapter is an USB-C to mini-displayport adapter. Mini-displayport and thunderbolt use the same connector, but are not the same thing. The original adapter from Apple should work. You'll notice that it is bulkier, as it contains more electronics.

Thanks a lot, jerome_m, I didn´t realize it´s not the same thing. :-)

I´ve bought today the adapter Thunderbolt 2 to USB-C and, as you said it works properly.

Thanks friends for your help!
