Phocus 3.2.1 - Mac - No Red X Close Button...?

I've just installed 3.2.1 on a MacBook Pro.

All seems OK except that there is no Red X close button in the top left hand corner of the Phocus window.

The yellow (reduce) and green (fill screen) buttons are there and working fine.

After downloading to the Downloads folder, I double-clicked on the .dmg file and then dragged the Phocus icon to the Applications folder.

I then opened the program (after accepting the security prompt)

The quick launch icon is not at the bottom of the screen either.

I only use this Mac for location capture - I'm totally PC otherwise - so, I'm clueless.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

V3.1 I am running does not have the button in red either, close by left clicking the "Phocus" drop down menu item on the top bar, first item from the LHS, and select last option on drop down- Quit Phocus

When open the program icon is seen in the screen bar/dock, right click on the icon to be shown "options" choose to make it live there (keep in dock) or "open at login" which may suit your use better otherwise it closes with the program. A left click on the icon opens the program.

This is on i-mac but all apple devices follow the same protocols.

Chris,

Thanks for the reply.

The icon is in the dock already, and left clicking does open it.

Right-clicking on it and choosing Options/Open at Login, makes no difference to the missing Red X issue.

I still have to quit via Phocus/Quit Phocus at the top of the screen.

I have had a few update installation of Phocus since I bought this Mac last Autumn. This is the first time ever I've had a missing Red X button.

Is this a bug with this update?

Thanks.

No not a bug, it appears intentional, note my release is 3.1 and it is "missing".

Capture One works a little the same, opening an editing screen ( and multiple screens are allowed) and the red dot on that screen closes it/them individually leaving none open or visible but the program remains open until closed fully with the progam button at the top of the screen.

The Phocus Manual, from the help tab clearly states :Quit Phocus: Closes the application. Which would support this being the intended way to exit.

I have reported this omission to Technical Support (software Engineers), in hopes that it will be corrected in the next release.
