For some reason we can't see the exposure meter in the EVF. We see the focus peeking but not the exposure controls. Any idea how to turn this on. We used to see it but for some reason it is not showing now.

Did a reset to default and now everything shows in the EVF. However, not sure what we did o turn them off and how to turn it back on.
Thanks Larry

Greg

Since you mentioned focus peaking, I assume you are talking about the X1D.  If so, go to live view and push the square button.  That will give you information in the finder and/or display where you will find the exposure meter in the lower left-hand corner.  All other camera controls will show up as well.

Greg, Yes we are talking about the X1D. Ended up doing a reset to default and all the information showed up in the EVF like you said. Thanks for your help. There must be a few bugs in the camera's firmware.
Thanks for your post. Larry

You shouldn't have to do a reset. As Greg pointed out, and which I'll corroborate here, look thru the EVF, and click the SQUARE button on the back (2nd from the top down). This button regulates what you can and cannot see in the view finder, as well as the back panel. This button will toggle you thru several different screens, all of which can be seen in the EVF. Your exposure data will be on a couple of them. This will also bring up your spirit level and the tic-tac-toe lines.
