Firmware updates for HC/HCD lenses?

The H6x backs report firmware version for HC lenses as well. How do you update the firmware of HC/HCD lenses?

A related question has arisen elsewhere with a photographer using a HC lens on a Leics S series body where the firmware cannot be seen.
Both my HC lenses, I have a bag of CF glass and adapter, show 10.0.0 which looks suspiciously like a holding number to me. I have never seen a lens firmware issued separately, there have been user firmware updates for some viewfinders and of course for bodies and backs as well as the GPS system. The Hasselblad site that lists software and firmware versions has no listing for lenses. All this leads me to believe any firmware for lenses is a factory load and that little firmware of significance resides in the lens beyond the basic requirements of communication which is not subject to change.
