Hi,

during a shooting at the weekend I pressed something or so and now I can not focus using half press of the shutter button. I can only use the user specific small button (the bottom one underneath the AE-L buttin) to focus. I switched between AF(S) and AF(C) but neither did change the behaviour.

Maybe somebody knows what I messed up  Huh

the shutter button might be dead or maybe you assigned the half press to an exposure function only ?

The shutter works fine as a shutter. I did another shooting on Sunday and everything worked well. Any idea where I could have assigned the half press? Should be somewhere in the custom options, right?

did you take off the battery and put it back again ? sometimes, if it's only a "software" problem it could resolve that sort of problems. If not, it could be a hardware problem. What if you reset all you parameters to zero ?

I find it mildly ironic to take advice from someone named meshuggener.  Wink

Oh, I forgot to send the solution! The release button was defective and has been repaired/exchanged. This seams to be some kind of standard problem as I found this on the hasselblad.de website listed for the service prices. Now everything works as designed again.
