Without IBIS, straight lines can get wavy.

Oddly, I *have* a Canon 1dxII from 2005, so it took me a second...

Good cameras :)

So if that is the case, with the (Hasselblad) 1dxII it's not 100% foolproof to shoot a non Hasselblad lens (so using electric shutter) indoors, even on tripod with only natural and flash light.

So the only foolproof shift option to use indoors is the HTS with an H lens (not my pentax 645 lens on a shift adpaptor....or drop 6K the 2dX...either way, a costly move.

So bottom line is with electronic shutter, handheld you might have problems, but on a tripod outdoors, no issues whatsoever.
On a tripod, indoors, with flash, potentially 1 or 2 second exposure...still no issues or is this where 'stripes' might come in...I would be using electronic shutter with a pentax 645 lens on  shift adaptor.

Marc

Indoors, stripes appear because the lights generally flicker at the AC frequency (60Hz or so). Hand held, with IBIS, it's really not a problem.

Indoors it is only natural light and my flash light so I assume the stripes comes from 'house' lights only, not flash unit. I'm using 1dxII so no IBIS.

H and V Cameras / Re: CFV 50 or CFV 100 for use ...

IMO optics technical behaviour doesn't matter most for the photographer as long as it is good, character matters !

The imaging character fits what you expect or not.

In high resolution digital imaging my Zeiss lenses are a bit softer then H or X lenses but fine details are sufficient for any enlargement. Even a 50 Mpix file boosted to 200 Mpix in Gigapixel AI is fantastic.

H lenses give me a bit more microcontrast but with corner falloff compared to my X lenses that are technically the best.

but for certain charachter images I go back to V system Zeiss glass

Good news: Stuck row of pixels. May release. May need to be mapped.
Bad news: Sensor has a failed row. Likely will get worse until total sensor failure.

Either way HB needs to look at your camera.

X1D/X2D Cameras / Small Horizontal Red Line

X1D II w/45. Haven't used the camera for a while and noticed a couple of frames from recent outing with a small thin red horizontal line across the top, about a 3rd of the way down from the top.  Not on every frame but about 2-3 out of 12 shots that day.  I've processed them out and they're retained so it's not a computer screen rendering issue.  Thoughts or experience?
