Title: HC50II shutter stuck open
Post by: Jordan on January 07, 2018, 04:58:34 PM
Anyone have any experience with an HC lens having its shutter stuck halfway open? If there's no easy fix does anyone have any knowledge of how much Hasselblad charges to fix the shutter? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

doesn't look good, shutter seems the weak element in all HC lenses. I had four shutter replacements
so far with my lenses. Hasselblad publishes a cost estimate list, see
http://static.hasselblad.com/2016/06/Service-charges-1-6-2016.pdf
Unfortunately, this list is from 2016 so I'd probably ask the dealer on the exact cost.

Good luck with your lens. My dealer told me that all broken shutters will now be replaced by
new ones with 1/2000 sec.

Regards,
Ralf

This is very interesting, as my dealer told me exactly the opposite. My HC300 is on "vacation" in Gothenburg right now, a trip for almost € 2.000,- including tax...  :P

I'll let you know which type of shutter they put in as soon as I have the lens back...

My near brand-new HC100 2.2 Orange dot had this happen recently; luckily it'll be covered under warranty, but I don't expect it to be a cheap fix outside of warranty :(
