As long as your name doesn't begin with W. I don't want to start another round of shite comments, but a little attention to detail would have been a good thing.
If you start to work your way through the alphabet, you will find that P gives you the front page, not P, and M seems undecided whether to select by surname or christian name.
They should have hours of fun with this at LuLa.

Are you be able to search photographers by category? Am I missing something.... or are they?

Everything went smoothly, one question, though.
When you click 'Photographer Info' in a photographer's profile it shows the street number, can it be changed to the City and the Country instead?
Thanks,
Alex

Step #5 of the registration does not work. After I selected a profile image and tried to upload, nothing happens. I also tried to upload some images for the portfolio in 'beauty fashion' and other categories, the system shows no indication of uploading any image. The information I get at the bottom of the page says "You have not uploaded any portfolio images yet". I also got email informing me that I need to upload profile photo and upload 6 images for my portfolio. I tried to upload 4 - 5 more time, still no image was uploaded.
I am using MAC OSX 10.5.8, anyone else encounter this problem yet?

Does anyone know if it's possible to edit uploaded images?
I went through the upload process but wasn't happy with several uploads and the ordering of images, not what I intended at all. I then deleted all images and started again but the original upload is still showing.
One thing I can't understand is the choice of landscape orientation for the thumbnails. Fine for representing landscape orientated shots but pretty much hopeless for representing portrait orientation. Would square have been a better option for all? Just a suggestion.

Keith,
I understand there is a 24 hour review process but I'm not sure if that only applies to new registrations or changes. Good question. Will they allow more than 6 images in the future?
I wonder if they change the link ASPX page because for first name I put my whole name so my ASPX page is /derek-jecxz-jecxz.aspx and while I changed my profile - I hope it won't screw up their database of links.
Kind regards,
Derek

Thanks, Derek.
My name originally appeared as Keith Laban Laban, but I managed to change it.

I just changed an image in my portfolio, which had the effect of removing me from the listings completely. I have to assume when one makes a change in portfolio images that the review process gets reinitiated.

Thanks, Richard. I'll give it another 24 hours or so to see if the revisions I posted yesterday morning actually appear. If they don't I'll delete the lot and wait until the web designers realise that many photographers are uncomfortable with anything less than real-time revisions.

The question is, do the hasselblad webdesigners actually read all the remarks we make so the problems can be ironed out ... ?

You can be sure of that.
In that case here are a few queries
Why, when the rest of the Hasselblad website looks fresh and chic, have the HOC designers reverted to an ugly 1990s look complete with an over-powering dark background?
Why are the thumbnails in 3:2 proportion rather than the 4:3 proportion of Hasselblad cameras?
Why the choice of thumbnail orientation?
Why, as is the case of most image sharing sites, are there no real-time upload, sorting and revision options?
Why are the Next and Previous arrows superimposed on the images?
Why the very strange spacing between thumbnail images?
Why is it not clear that previously given sensitive information is automatically displayed for all to see?

I changed an image in my portfolio two days ago. Now.....NADA. I guess that every time one makes a change, the portfolio goes to the bottom of the totem pole. The reviewing committee must have a long list of photographers to review

This morning I deleted all my images and uploaded them again and the changes were actioned within an hour or two.
Are you sure you saved the changes?
