What I do is as follows:
I process my files in Phocus and save them as 16bit files.
I open them in CS5 where I retouch them,or modify (not adjust, thats done in Lightroom) as necessary.
Then I use Lightroom to work on them, darken, lighten, using the tools as necessary.
They are exported/ saved in the same folder as originals but in a new folder named pp.
I open them again for final inspection in CS5, check for dust, sharpen, copyright and change mode to 8bit right at the end. (I throw the 16bit files away)
I know this is long winded (and some of the steps could be done in lightroom) but my images are hand crafted, that's what my clients pay for.
