Hi there,

Does anyone know if it is possible to get an adapter to use the early phase one backs on a H1? ie, a h5 back etc

I have only ever seen them for the V series but i have been told it could be possible. Would the only other mildly low budget backs be similar to early Kodak Pros?

Thanks a lot, any help is greatly appreciated!

Oh and just to add, most importantly....
Would a Hasselblad/Imacon back be a much better option? are they very rare now? thanks!  Smiley

the Imacon 22mp backs were the 132c and 528c, the later being the multishot variation. these were both available with adapters to fit different cameras, Hasselblad H included.
There is also the Hasselblad H1D which is technically a Hasselblad H1 camera with a Imacon 132c back... the only note with this combination is that this back cannot be used with bodies other than the H.

These Imacon backs come up on ebay fairly regularly, the H1D is a less common and a bit less useful IMHO. All of these can be tethered/controlled by the latest Phocus software.

It's also worthwhile checking the London Pro Centre second hand list. They always have a good selection of H digital gear.

(i would expect to pay £1.5k+ for a 132c and looking at the pro centre list they currently have H3D-31's for £3k, which seem very good value!)

good luck.
