If you want quick self-timer access try hitting the mirror lock up button twice in quick succession, it will lock up the mirror then enable the self timer as soon as you hit the shutter release.

Or you could program the User button to activate self timer if easier to access.  Grin

I do this when I forget my cable release.    Undecided

..and you can set it to stay activated in the custom options menu.
